Burkhard Schaer is an agriculture and food consumption researcher and consultant.  After five years as a teacher/ researcher at the Technical University of Munich he co-founded the independent research and consulting agency ECOZEPT in 2000. Today, more than a dozen agriculture and food experts are working with ECOZEPT and the company is based in France and Germany. Within this team, Burkhard Schaer is realising projects in the domains of market research, supply chain structuring and marketing consulting. Recent research includes  projects within the EU research Framework programs on agro-food markets: ORGANIC DATA NETWORK, LIFT and Strength2Food (both H2020). The French-German ECOZEPT team ran over 300 projects in sustainable and foremost organic supply chains and consulted more than 50 organic enterprises in their strategic and operational decision-making. Burkhard Schaer is speaking German, French and English.
